ClayLab Detroit was founded in 2002 on Grand River Avenue in downtown Detroit.
Carrie Armstrong Reid, the company's owner and lead designer, was formally trained at College for Creative Studies in Detroit. Though she uses many mediums to create functional and visual art work, clay is her #1. Husband Matt Reid is her partner and sponsor.
ClayLab Detroit's work has been seen in galleries, commercial properties and personal collections all over the world.
We have been a featured Studio Artist at the renowned Pewabic Pottery gallery in Detroit for over seven years.
