ClayLab Detroit was founded in 2002 on Grand River Avenue in downtown Detroit.  

 

Carrie Armstrong has her BFA from Detroit's College for Creative Studies and a Master of Art Education from the University of Florida.  With over twenty years of passionate work in the field of ceramics, she has been a featured artist in renowned public and private spaces worldwide.

From architectural/sculptural to functional housewares, the possibilities in clay are endless... and so are the directions we can comfortably take in our work for you.

Our studio has moved from years in Downtown Detroit to our new adult community education studio in downtown Royal Oak.
