ClayLab Detroit was founded in 2002 on Grand River Avenue in downtown Detroit.
Carrie Armstrong Reid, the company's main artist, is formally trained at Detroit's own College for Creative Studies, with over twenty years of diligent work in the field of ceramics. She has been a featured artist at the renowned Pewabic Pottery gallery for over ten years.
ClayLab Detroit's work has been seen in numerous galleries, commercial properties and personal collections all over the world. From architectural/sculptural to functional housewares, the possibilities in clay are endless... and so are the directions we can comfortably take in our work for you.
